Winter sunrise in Rockport, Texas

It’s hard to believe another year is coming to a close and 2020 is here.  I’ve said before that I hate resolutions, but I love the freshness and newness that a new year brings.  Whether or not you make resolutions, it’s nice to have a “re-set.”  The old is gone, the past is behind and opportunities are ahead.

Flipping through my journal, I quickly discovered the last half of 2019 was much more positive than the first half.   Thankfully, God has been reminding me over the last week of all the good things he’s provided, the fun, the shelter, the joy, the peace, people we touched, and visa versa.   This morning, God used my iPad to show me my “Year in Review” in pictures.  It just popped up and I had more reminders of His goodness!

To encourage YOU, I want to share my favorite app in hopes that it will help kick your 2020 off right.  This fall I was introduced to First 15.  (Download it from your App site on your phone and iPad.) It’s a daily Bible experience with God and I love it.  Each day has a worship song, numerous verses of scripture, an anointed, short discussion, and 3 prayerful/meditation applications.  The idea is that we give God our first 15 minutes of each day.  Today’s thought was about making space for God – my prayer is that we will all make that a priority for 2020
